COMPLETED RENOVATIONS, IMPROVEMENTS  AND MODERNIZATIONS IN 2007-2008

STRECKER BRUDEHAUS n:o 1938

The entire production line was thoroughly repaired, any defective parts replaced or repaired free from defects. In addition to this was made the next improvements and / or upgrades:

Unwind stands

  1. The new web tension control was built controlled by PLC and smart relays.
  2. Arms of the unwind and roll lifting -Hydraulic units and cylinders were fully repaired and all the O-rings were replaced by new ones.
  3. Core chucks - The expanding plates were built new ones and fitted for 3 and 6 inches cores.
  4. De-Curling units - The 4 new de curlers were installed of 10 mm diameter being proper for sensitive paper qualities.
  5. 2 units of de curlers were built for paper board. Diameter of the de curling bars are 20 and 40 mm.    
  6. Slitters
  7. The shaft of the bottom slitters were renewed (2013)
  8. Main cutter and Cross cutting section
  9. Belt section between cross cutter and in feed press was renewed
  10. Clamps on the knife drums were renewed and coated by felt
  11. Hydraulic cylinders inside the knives drums were renewed
  12. Both Hydraulic feeding heads were renewed.
  13. All electric valves (15 pieces) were changed to new ones)
  14. The new Smith glutch was assembled as well as the main devices for drive for the upper and lower knife drums.  

Primary belt section and speed control after the cross knives

  1. The belts have been changed to new ones. 
  2. The short additional belt section was added between the cross cutting and the primary belt section in order to adjust coming sheets better taking off sheets from the cross cutting.

Overlapping section

  1. The new nep rolls (6) were assembled. 
  2. Stop rollers were changed to new ones with the drive acc. to the speed of the bottom belts.
  3. Bottom and top belts were change to new ones 

Secondary belt section

  1. The belts were change to new ones
  2. The sharing gate: in front of the gate the finger lamellas were added in order to direct the sheets better into the gate. This prevent the jams during the pallet change.

Delivery section (Lower one)  

  1. The brand new layboy was built including frame, side plates, new fibrators and back     board/plates.
  2. The nep rolls (6) were changed to new ones
  3. The top belts were added over for the delivery section
  4. Tab inserters changed to new ones  

Delivery section (Upper one)

  1. brand new layboy was built including frame, side plates, new fibrators and back     board/plates.
  2. The nep rolls (6) were changed to new ones
  3. The top belts were added over for the delivery section
  4. Tab inserters changed to new ones  

Pallet non-stop change

  1. The PLC-program was changed to improve counting and auto pallet change using two separate layboys.

Accoding to the above improvements and modernization

  1. Productivity was increased from 12 tons to 20 tons/shift 
  2. The cutting accuracy was improved to the level of +-0.2 mm
  3. Stacking quality was improved being now +-0.3 mm
  4. Run ability of the cutter was improved basing much on the automation built through the PLC.

The Main Responsibility Between the Seller and the Buyer

Dismantling, packing, loading into containers, transportation, erection, start-up and training. 

Responsibility matrix

Dismantling, transport, erection and teaching the workers in Buyer’s mill. (Turn-key-project).

Service and spare parts

The Seller will offer a complete after sales service and spare part contract after the delivery of the line. 

Manuals and drawings 

The Seller will provide manuals and documentation for mechanical, electrical and operational parts. 

Dismantling and loading 

The Seller will place 1 superviser, 3 mechanics and 1 auto-electrician for dismantling and loading in Poland. 

Transport

The Seller will order trucks and organize transportation and will cover the costs of transport CIF Alexandria.

Taxes and Duties

 All taxes, duties, customs and other related charges due connection with the Machinery incurred outside Poland shall be born by a Buyer. 

Erection, Commissioning and Operational Training 

The Seller will send 2 mechanics, 1 auto-electrician and 1 teacher/ cutter man over to Buyer’s site supervising the installation/commissioning, conduct machine tuning, test running and give an operation training. The Buyer will take care hotel accommodation, meals and car rental (transport from hotel to the mill)  for 4 person during the Seller’s personnel stay. The Buyer will place 1 mechanic  and 1electrician and 1 truck + driver for the erection work of the machinery. 

Foundations and equipments required from Buyer’s Side 

A Buyer is responsible for the erection of the line in a Buyer’s mill. 

The Seller will assist and give all the needed expertise in erection work.

A Buyer will make the foundations acc. to the foundation drawings sent by the Seller.

A Buyer will supply of all the necessary electric and pressure air connections for the installation. 

A Buyer is responsible for the drilling of anchor bolt holes and anchor bolts for the machine. 

 If  the supply of electrical power  is not constant in a Buyer’s mill , a Buyer to prepare a voltage stabilizer for the  machine. 

 Air consumption required for  the cutter  is 105 – 120 psi. 

 A Buyer to supply a trim waste blower, trim cutter and a baler or similar devices for the line 

Other Cost 

All other costs to be incurred by installation of Machine in the Buyer's plant, as cost of rigging, civil work, foundation, piping, and electrical connection to the machine, devices, insurance premium for moving and rigging, and any extra expenses for making the access 

to the premises and materials required for test run and operator training on machine

are not included and shall be at the Buyer's account.
